Running Local and Cloud Simultaneously

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out if I need 1 or 2 licenses for what i'd like to do...

I have a local computer:
lots of disk space, two GPUs, lots of ram etc - i'd like to use this computer to download data and do research/backtesting - doesn't necessarily need realtime feeds or anything thought that would be nice to have an IB connection for this local box and the remote box. (pull option chains, download trading performance, etc)

i have a cloud computer:
t2.large - primarily intended just for execution, pretty limited in the interests of minimizing cloud computing costs

Is it possible to run this way with a single license? In general any advice about how best to setup in this way where i can take advantage of my local resources and not unnecessarily rent them would be appreciated.

thank you

Yes. A single user license allows for 2 concurrent installs to accommodate use cases like that. Terms of Service

Local deployment for research and cloud deployment for trading is a good and common approach.

Should I be able to un an ibg simulataneously in both installations? (assuming i have two logins with price data etc.)

Yes, as long as the two IB Gateways have different logins.
